“Tidak boleh minder, bahkan kalian harus berani. Apalagi perguruan tinggi sudah banyak membuka beasiswa dengan syarat hafal Alquran, jadi harus rajin menghafal dan memahaminya,” ujar Mathur kepada ratusan santri itu.

Sementara itu, Makki Al-Hamid selaku pengasuh pondok pesantren Madrasatul Qur’an Al-Makkiyah menyampaikan kepada seluruh santri untuk banyak-banyak belajar baik dari ilmu agama, sosial bahkan ilmu politik.

Sebagai generasi milenial, tentu saja kalian harus belajar sama beliau ini, sebab sepak terjangnya sampai saat ini merupakan bagian dari perjalanan hidup yang patut kita pelajari.

Makki Al-Hamid mengatakan anggota dewan yang berada didepan kalian ini merupakan anggota dewan yang terlahir dari keluarga petani, santri bahkan juga sebagai aktivis.

“Makanya, kita semua harus belajar sama beliau dan korek ilmunya, ilmu itu akan menuntun kita kemana arah hidup kita ini,” jelasnya.
